Cervical Dystonia, outcome measures, and interdisciplinary collaboration
Course 3 Themes:
- Analysis of cervical dystonia – including the COL-CAP concept.
- Therapeutic intervention and compliance following botulinum toxin treatment – Ensuring interdisciplinary collaboration across all sectors (rehabilitation plans, etc.).
- Muscle identification and practical treatment using EMG and US (ultrasound) guidance (cervical dystonia).
- Splinting/orthotic treatment and practical splint fabrication.
- Review of best practices regarding pharmacological treatment
– in accordance with NICE guidelines.
- Contractures: Theoretical presentation.
- How does an interdisciplinary team collaborate on patient care? Including cases.
- Presentation of home assignment.
- Review / movement analysis and the use of video – Interventions for children with muscle overactivity.
